- The baby’s room must have well defined areas, that is: a place to sleep in, another for changing station, another for clothes, another for breastfeeding and yet another for playing. The different areas can be defined with the help of organization and decor.
- Leave some space under the crib. If the crib has drawers underneath, use them for bed linen or towels.
- Use proper lighting, stronger in the play area and softer in the sleeping area.
- Keep the room tidy when the baby goes to sleep.
- Only keep the baby’s belongings in the room, avoid storing household items or those belonging to other inhabitants.
- Do not use mirrors or TVs.
- Use furniture with rounded edges.
- Use soft colours. They will vary according to the energy of the house and each baby.
